Fantastic Friday

Today's craft: decorating USA caps!

For today's afternoon activity, our campers played United States bingo and watched a movie.

While some watched the movie, others worked on their solos and speaking parts. Before we leave today, we'll have one more full run-through.

We can't wait for everyone to see what these kids can do!

Yippee! It's Friday!

We've already run through the first part of the musical, and now we're enjoying oranges and goldfish for our morning snack.

And in spite of all the hard work and end-of-the-week fatigue, we're all SMILING!

Jumping with the juniors

Not all of our volunteers' kids are old enough for Music Camp, so we have special childcare for these "junior campers." Today the junior campers got to enjoy the bounce house, and it's easy to see they were jumping for joy!

Thrilling Thursday

Don't let the lack of posting today fool you; it's certainly not because there wasn't anything to post! We've just been really busy getting ready for the big show. As our weekend performances near, we're trying to get everything together, from lyrics to choreography, from sets to props.

Of course, the campers have been hard at work nailing down their songs:

And they're working hard with their choreography:

They're even working hard making their crafts:

They've been playing hard, too! Today was kids' choice, and campers could play games or enjoy a "spa" with manicures, pedicures and hairstyling. Everybody got to take a turn in a bounce house, too!

We're so thankful for all of our super servants who have been working hard, too! It takes a lot of volunteers to make Music Camp happen, and we have been blessed with a bunch of great people willing to share their time and talents with our kids. Thanks, volunteers!

More Wednesday highlights

The rehearsals continue! Our campers have been working hard to learn the songs, the solos and their choreography.

After all that hard work, our kids were ready to get out in the sunshine to play games with Jamba.

Our junior campers really enjoyed their strawberries for today's afternoon snack!

What a busy day! With just two more camp days to go until our performances, everyone's getting excited!

Don't forget: The musical will be performed at 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Family Center. You won't believe how much these kids have learned this week!
